Value Framework Surveys
Group 8 undertook some extensive research into what students, parents and teachers need from an 'ideal' school.
Thousands of students, teachers and parents were asked simply to describe their ideal school. From this expansive response, Group 8 applied a content analysis process to get at the minimum set of values that covered everything that each group articulated.
Hence, we arrived at a discrete set of values that described the ideal school for each of the student, parent and teacher groups.
We can then apply these values back to any individual school using a process of ordering and ranking. Using either a face-to-face or internet-mediated survey process, participants are asked first to rank the values in order of importance, and then to rate the current school culture on those values.

This allows us to provide a robust and insightful picture of a school culture from the perspective of each of these groups.
We have since adapted this value framework to fit not-for-profit (third sector) and corporate organisations. The reports generated are of high strategic value – they allow the leadership to focus on a 'parito-set' of top six values that drive the effectiveness and satisfaction of the members of the organisation.
